2020 GMC Sierra 1500 Preview, All Terrain, Release Date, and Price. GMC Sierra 1500 and Chevy Silverado are close siblings. Now, GMC’s vehicle will get its own version of something like Silverado Trail Boss. It will be 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain truck.
The All Terrain package is already available on the current Sierra. In the matter of fact, the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain could be very close to top models in its lineup, Denali, and SLT.

The biggest news about the upcoming Sierra 1500 is a diesel engine. The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain won’t be available with diesel unit under its hood. Instead, this package will come only with 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter petrol drivetrains. We expect GMC to come out soon with performance numbers, at first place power and torque output.
The forthcoming 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 will arrive with the four powertrain options. A 6.2-liter V8 is producing 355 HP and 383 lb-ft of torque, while the 5.3-liter V8 can generate 420 HP and 460 lb-ft of torque.
Diesel powertrain will get a 10-speed automatic transmission, just like the 6.2-liter V8. The 5.3-liter V8 engine comes with an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
TOWING CAPACITY & FUEL ECONOMY
All engine comes with great towing capacity. The first one 4.3-liter V6 is capable to maximum tow of 7,600 pounds and it gives EPA city/highway fuel economy of 18/24 mpg for the 2WD and 17/22 mpg for the model with 4WD.
The next one is 5.3-liter V8 with the fuel economy of 16/23 mpg/2WD and 16/22 mpg/4WD. The last one is the strongest 6.2-liter V8 that pull out up to 12,000 pounds.
2020 GMC SIERRA 1500 ALL TERRAIN PACKAGE AND UPGRADES
All other companies already presented their models, and GMC was the last one to introduce new pickup. The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain is the surprise for many fans, although we saw this version before.
According to these images, the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain is riding higher than its siblings. As far as we understand, the truck will upgrade Z71 version. All Terrain package for 2020 Sierra 1500 will add Eaton locking rear differential and Rancho shocks.
Few things that will make the appearance of the 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 All Terrain different, the truck is having a reconstruction of the cabin. Bucket seats and the modified console was part of the previous base All Terrain package. The All Terrain X package includes visual details that we can’t find on other trucks.
Of course, all of the materials are optional on all of the models except the Denali trim. The base model will get a smaller multi-color heads-up display and more safety feature.
The newest model 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 will be a very safe truck. It comes with plenty of options and with Driver Alert Package the buyers will get features like lane-departure warning, lane-keep assist, low-speed automatic braking, IntelliBeam headlights, forward-collision alert and rear/front park-assist. There is also a rearview camera and child lock system.

The 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 will go out next fall while the pricing data will become available closer to the launch date. We believe that this pickup truck will cost around $32,500 and Sierra Denali could cost up to $70,000.
